Hextom: Upsell Sales Boost vs Shipping Protection ‑ Navidiumfor Shopify (2026)
Hextom: Upsell Sales Boost and Shipping Protection - Navidium, while sharing the 'Upsell and Cross-sell' Shopify category, cater to fundamentally different needs of Shopify merchants. Hextom is an all-in-one conversion rate optimization suite designed to increase Average Order Value (AOV) through various techniques like upsells, bundles, discounts, and urgency-inducing features. It targets merchants seeking to actively influence customer buying behavior and optimize their entire sales funnel. Shipping Protection - Navidium, on the other hand, focuses on providing merchants with a self-managed shipping protection plan, allowing them to retain shipping protection revenue instead of relinquishing it to insurance providers. Navidium empowers merchants to offer shipping protection as an upsell, manage claims internally, and potentially generate profit from the protection fees. It's designed for merchants who want more control over their shipping protection strategy, prefer a DIY approach, and are comfortable handling claims management themselves. The two apps address distinct areas of a Shopify business - conversion optimization (Hextom) versus shipping protection and revenue retention (Navidium). Therefore, the choice depends entirely on the merchant's primary business goal and risk appetite.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing top-of-funnel conversion optimization and AOV growth through various sales tactics, Hextom: Upsell Sales Boost is the clear choice. Its comprehensive suite of features, including upsells, bundles, and urgency indicators, provides a broad approach to enhancing the customer journey and driving revenue. The app's ease of use and code-free integration make it accessible to a wide range of Shopify merchants.
Shipping Protection - Navidium is ideal for merchants seeking greater control over their shipping protection strategy and a way to potentially generate profit from shipping protection fees. Its self-service platform and claim management tools empower merchants to retain revenue that would otherwise go to an insurance provider. Merchants with established order volume and some familiarity with claims management will find Navidium particularly appealing. However, those uncomfortable with handling customer claims should explore alternative solutions.
