Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with maximizing average order value and implementing a broad range of promotional strategies, Hextom: Upsell Sales Boost is the superior choice. Its extensive feature set, from upsells and bundles to countdown timers and trust badges, offers a comprehensive approach to conversion optimization. However, if a merchant's main pain point is poor product discoverability, particularly on stores with large and complex catalogs, RS: Smart Search Bar & Filter provides a laser-focused solution for improving search accuracy and navigation.
While both apps can contribute to increased sales, their core strengths cater to distinct needs. A store already experiencing decent traffic but struggling with AOV would benefit more from Hextom, whereas a store with high bounce rates on collection pages due to poor search results or filtering would find RS more effective.
