Glowtify: Smarter AI Marketing vs MakeStories AI Story Builderfor Shopify (2026)
Glowtify: Smarter AI Marketing and MakeStories AI Story Builder both operate in the Shopify Advertising category, but they target distinctly different marketing needs. Glowtify positions itself as an all-in-one, profit-driven AI marketing platform, aiming to streamline and optimize a wide range of marketing activities, from SEO and content creation to campaign planning and competitor tracking. It emphasizes comprehensive marketing management and actionable insights designed to increase revenue. MakeStories, on the other hand, focuses specifically on creating and displaying visually engaging product stories using AI, mimicking the popular Instagram and Facebook story formats. Its strength lies in automating the creation of this specific type of content to enhance product SEO and visual appeal. Glowtify appeals to merchants seeking a holistic marketing solution with AI-powered recommendations and centralized management. It emphasizes efficiency and profit maximization across various marketing channels. MakeStories, in contrast, caters to merchants who want to leverage the power of visual storytelling to highlight individual products and improve SEO. Its simpler approach is ideal for merchants who prioritize product presentation and user engagement through story formats. A significant difference between the two is the data available: Glowtify boasts a perfect 5/5 rating with 12 reviews, while MakeStories has no reviews at all, signaling a potentially riskier choice. Glowtify also explicitly calls out usage of SEMRush for SEO, adding to the perceived feature depth.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking for a complete, AI-powered marketing solution that addresses SEO, content creation, campaign planning, and performance tracking, Glowtify appears to be the stronger choice, backed by positive user reviews and specific SEO functionality. Its all-in-one approach offers a more comprehensive suite of features for driving profit-driven marketing strategies. It is likely a larger investment of time and resources to learn and deploy.
MakeStories is better suited for merchants primarily interested in enhancing their product presentation through visual storytelling and specifically improving SEO by way of that content. Its focus is narrower, making it simpler to implement. However, the lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating introduce a higher risk. It's only recommended if visual stories are a core part of your marketing strategy and you're willing to experiment with a newer, unproven app.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Both apps claim ease of use. Glowtify claims it requires "no prompts", suggesting ease of use. MakeStories claims an easy drag-and-drop editor and no coding required, but the lack of user feedback makes it difficult to definitively say which is easier.
Which app is more focused on SEO?
Both apps emphasize SEO. Glowtify uses SEMrush-powered SEO fixes. MakeStories AI Story Builder focuses on auto-generating SEO-friendly product stories. Glowtify covers more facets of SEO, while MakeStories zeros in on SEO improvements via product stories.
Which app is better for a new Shopify store?
A new store looking for a broader marketing foundation might benefit from Glowtify. A store that already has marketing channels in place and wants to experiment with AI-powered product stories could consider MakeStories, understanding the risk of no reviews.
Which app is more likely to increase sales?
Glowtify directly aims to improve profits through prioritized recommendations. MakeStories focuses on enhancing product presentation and engagement, indirectly contributing to sales. Given Glowtify's broader scope and emphasis on profit optimization, it is more directly linked to increasing sales, according to its value proposition.
What are the risks of choosing MakeStories given the 0/5 rating?
A 0/5 rating with zero reviews suggests that either the app is very new or users have had negative experiences preventing them from leaving reviews. The app could be unstable, have limited support, or simply not function as advertised. Choosing MakeStories at this stage would involve a higher degree of risk and a willingness to troubleshoot potential issues.
