Giftnote, eGifts & Bulk Send vs Presents & Gift Requestsfor Shopify (2026)
Giftnote, eGifts & Bulk Send and Presents & Gift Requests both target the gifting category on Shopify, but address fundamentally different aspects. Giftnote positions itself as a comprehensive gifting solution, automating gift messages, bulk gifting, eGift cards, and corporate gifting, aiming to transform online gifting into a significant revenue channel. It emphasizes automation, integration with various marketing and shipping platforms, and a seamless customer experience through customized messages delivered via SMS and email. Giftnote appears geared towards larger stores or those focused on high-volume gifting, especially businesses that offer corporate gifting or want to scale their gifting programs. Presents & Gift Requests, on the other hand, offers a simpler, more targeted solution: enabling customers to request that someone else purchase a specific product for them. It focuses on driving engagement and sales through social sharing and simplifying the gift-giving process from the shopper's perspective.

Our Verdict
Giftnote, eGifts & Bulk Send is the clear winner for Shopify merchants serious about scaling their gifting programs. Its comprehensive features, including automation, bulk gifting capabilities, and eGift card functionality, coupled with strong integrations and a high rating from numerous reviews, make it a powerful tool for driving revenue. However, the higher complexity might make it less suitable for very small stores with basic needs. Presents & Gift Requests might appeal to smaller businesses seeking a simple, low-cost solution to boost engagement and facilitate gifting on a product-by-product basis. But its extremely low rating and single review raise serious concerns about its functionality and reliability, making it difficult to recommend without significant improvements.
