Gelato: Print on Demand vs Spocket: US & EU Dropshippingfor Shopify (2026)
Gelato: Print on Demand and Spocket: US & EU Dropshipping offer distinct solutions for Shopify merchants. Gelato focuses on print-on-demand (POD), enabling merchants to sell custom-designed products globally via a network of local production hubs. This allows for faster and more sustainable delivery by avoiding long-distance shipping. Gelato emphasizes ease of use with AI design tools and integration of branded products. Its strengths lie in its global production network, localized fulfillment, and product customization features. Spocket, on the other hand, is a dropshipping app centered on sourcing products from suppliers primarily in the US and Europe, but now expanding to countries like Brazil and India. It targets merchants seeking faster shipping times and discounted pricing from these regions. A key differentiator is the focus on finding 'winning products' and facilitating automated AliExpress dropshipping through partnerships. Spocket also highlights features like branded invoicing. Thus, Spocket caters to merchants looking for readily available products with quick shipping from specific geographical areas and integration with suppliers from other areas, while Gelato targets merchants wanting to sell customizable print-on-demand products made locally around the globe.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing unique, custom-designed products and a global reach through local production, Gelato is the better choice. Its high rating and emphasis on print-on-demand fulfillment make it suitable for those building a brand around personalized items. However, merchants focused on quickly sourcing and shipping ready-made products, especially from the US and Europe or Brazil and India, will find Spocket more appealing. Spocket's focus on fast shipping and wholesale pricing could be a key advantage for merchants prioritizing speed and cost efficiency over product customization. It's important to note that while Spocket facilitates AliExpress dropshipping, Gelato uses localized production.
