Gatsby: Convert Your Followers vs Sample Products ‑‑ Try N Buyfor Shopify (2026)
Gatsby: Convert Your Followers and Sample Products ‑‑ Try N Buy, while both sharing the 'Giveaways and contests' category on Shopify, cater to very different marketing strategies and merchant needs. Gatsby focuses on leveraging social media engagement, particularly from Instagram, to build email and SMS lists, fostering personalized marketing through automated flows and ambassador programs. It aims to increase conversions through UGC and social sharing. Sample Products ‑‑ Try N Buy, on the other hand, centers around strategic sampling to drive sales, increase Average Order Value (AOV), and foster customer loyalty. By offering free samples based on cart value, it enables customers to try new products, making it particularly well-suited for categories like cosmetics, healthcare, food supplements, pet products, and FMCG brands. It presents an alternative to BOGO offers by personalizing incentives and offering customer choice in their free samples. While Gatsby aims to convert online followers into subscribers and drive conversions through social activity, Sample Products targets existing customers by offering sample products to build loyalty and increase AOV, rather than acquiring new leads.
