Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on customer acquisition and leveraging their existing customer base for referrals, Gather: Refer a Friend is the better choice. Its customizable referral programs and integration with email marketing tools like Klaviyo make it easy to set up and manage referral campaigns. However, given the much higher review count and focus on mobile, Shopney - Mobile App Builder will benefit the businesses that would like to reduce their marketing spend and increase the user retention by implementing personalized shopping experiences within the branded mobile app.
Shopney is the superior choice if the priority is improving the mobile shopping experience and increasing customer retention through a branded mobile app. Its features like push notifications, live chat, and a comprehensive integration suite make it a robust solution for merchants looking to capitalize on the growing mobile commerce trend. While Gather provides value, its limited reviews compared to Shopney suggest it may be a newer or less widely adopted solution.
