Gather: Refer a Friend vs Pixiu Sales Boost All in Onefor Shopify (2026)
Gather: Refer a Friend and Pixiu Sales Boost All in One are both Shopify apps listed under the 'Promotions - Other' category, but they address vastly different aspects of sales and marketing. Gather focuses on leveraging existing customers to acquire new ones through referral programs, offering features for designing and deploying these programs with customization options and integration with email marketing tools like Klaviyo. It aims to create a sustainable, high-ROAS acquisition channel. Pixiu, on the other hand, provides a suite of promotional tools designed to create urgency and increase average order value on the product page. It focuses on tactics like countdown timers, trust badges, and BOGO offers. The key difference lies in their approach: Gather concentrates on customer acquisition through incentivized word-of-mouth marketing using referral incentives, while Pixiu is a collection of on-site sales conversion optimization tools designed to nudge website visitors to purchase. Gather requires actively engaging existing customers, whereas Pixiu focuses on influencing immediate purchasing decisions of visitors already on the site. The data suggests Gather is more proven, evidenced by its existing reviews and a 5/5 rating, while Pixiu is new and lacks user feedback.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing long-term, sustainable customer acquisition through word-of-mouth marketing, Gather: Refer a Friend appears to be the better choice. Its focus on building a referral program with customizable rewards and integration with email marketing provides a robust system for growth. The existing positive reviews (though limited in number) support this.
For merchants primarily focused on boosting immediate sales and increasing average order value on their Shopify store through tactics such as urgency and promotional offers, Pixiu Sales Boost All in One offers a comprehensive set of tools. However, the lack of reviews and a zero rating means there is no user validation for its effectiveness. Until there is more user feedback, use Pixiu with caution and test it thoroughly.
Common Questions
