Our Verdict
If your primary goal is to grow your email list and engage customers with a fun, interactive experience, FreeDrop is the better choice. It offers a novel approach to lead generation by gamifying the process of obtaining discounts. However, if you're seeking to directly address price objections and increase sales by allowing customers to negotiate prices, Lury: Make an Offer is the more suitable option. Its automated rules for accepting, declining, or countering offers streamline the negotiation process, saving you time and potentially increasing revenue. Lury is best for merchants comfortable with price flexibility on their products.
Common Questions
Which app is better for generating leads?
FreeDrop is specifically designed for lead generation by requiring users to provide their information to participate in games for discount opportunities. Lury captures emails and phone numbers from offers, but lead generation is not its primary focus.
Which app is easier to manage on a daily basis?
Lury likely requires less daily management once the automated rules for offer acceptance/decline are set up. FreeDrop may require more ongoing adjustments to game parameters and discount codes based on performance analytics.
Which app provides more control over discounting?
Lury provides more direct control over discounting. Merchants set the rules for acceptable offers, effectively defining the minimum acceptable price. FreeDrop provides discounts through a game, giving users the chance to win certain offers. This means that the range of discounts are predefined through the game setup, but not necessarily per user.
Does either app offer multi-language support?
Lury: Make an Offer explicitly states support for multiple languages, while FreeDrop does not mention this feature in its description.
Which app is better for a store selling luxury or high-end items?
FreeDrop is likely the better choice for luxury goods. Lury may cheapen the perceived value of a high end good through price negotiation. FreeDrop offers discounts in a non-obtrusive way, and can attract customers looking to purchase luxury items.
