Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with providing immediate and easy contact options to potential customers and driving quick conversions, Floatify: Social & CTA Buttons is the clear choice due to its high ratings, established user base, and focus on readily available communication channels like WhatsApp, calls, and SMS. Conversely, if a store has a complex structure with very different navigation needs for distinct customer segments (e.g., wholesale vs. retail, VIP vs. standard), Navvy: Customer Tag Based Menu offers a potentially powerful solution for personalized site navigation. However, the absence of reviews and a 0/5 rating suggests it may be an unproven product and should be tested carefully. A new store might find the immediate benefits of Floatify more impactful, while a more established store with segmented customer bases might explore Navvy after thorough research.
Common Questions
Which app is better for improving customer service?
Floatify is likely better for immediate customer service due to its built-in communication channels like WhatsApp live chat and call buttons. Navvy indirectly improves service by providing a streamlined navigation experience which may reduce support requests.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Floatify claims a 1-minute setup with no coding required. Navvy states it works directly in the customizer, also implying easy setup. However, the claim of "1-minute" and higher rating suggests Floatify has an advantage in user experience.
Can both apps be used together on a Shopify store?
Yes, both apps can be used together. Floatify handles communication and CTA buttons, while Navvy manages the main navigation menu. They address different aspects of the customer experience and should not conflict directly.
Which app is more likely to increase sales?
Floatify aims to increase sales directly through readily accessible contact options and prominent call-to-action buttons. Navvy aims to increase sales indirectly by improving customer satisfaction and loyalty through personalized navigation, potentially leading to more repeat purchases.
Which app requires more technical knowledge to use?
Neither app seems to require significant technical knowledge. Floatify explicitly states no coding is needed, and Navvy's integration with the Shopify customizer suggests a user-friendly experience. However, given the segmentation logic of Navvy, some understanding of customer tags may be useful.
