Fish Wishlist vs Wishlist Geniefor Shopify (2026)
Fish Wishlist and Wishlist Genie both aim to improve customer experience and drive sales through wishlisting, but their approaches and target audiences differ significantly. Fish Wishlist positions itself as a comprehensive, omnichannel solution particularly appealing to B2B and POS-integrated businesses, emphasizing speed, extensive features, and white-glove service. It boasts B2B pricing, Request a Quote, and POS integration, functionalities absent in Wishlist Genie's description. Wishlist Genie, conversely, focuses on simplicity and ease of use, promoting a quick installation and intuitive wishlist management for all shoppers, prioritizing a seamless, fundamental wishlist experience for any Shopify store, regardless of size or complexity. The critical difference lies in Fish Wishlist's feature-rich, enterprise-leaning offering versus Wishlist Genie's streamlined, beginner-friendly design. Fish Wishlist targets more complex store needs, whilst Wishlist Genie is for a simple solution.

Our Verdict
For businesses with B2B operations, POS systems, or those looking for advanced features like quote requests and social proof elements, Fish Wishlist appears to be the stronger choice, despite the small sample of reviews. Its focus on omnichannel capabilities and B2B functionalities makes it suitable for merchants with more complex needs. However, for merchants seeking a straightforward, easy-to-implement wishlist solution without complex integrations or B2B features, Wishlist Genie, while unproven in the review department, offers a potentially simpler starting point. If your needs are minimal and rapid deployment is essential, Wishlist Genie could be considered; however, the lack of reviews makes it hard to fully recommend. Fish Wishlist’s established features and white-glove installation option make it more appealing if you have a larger business or B2B sales.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim quick setup times. Fish Wishlist claims 2 minutes, while Wishlist Genie claims under 5 minutes. However, Fish Wishlist offers white-glove installation, which could streamline the process even further for merchants who prefer hands-off setup.
Which app is better for B2B businesses?
Fish Wishlist is specifically designed for B2B businesses with features like Request a Quote, B2B pricing, and Draft Order Integration. Wishlist Genie does not explicitly mention any B2B-specific features.
Which app integrates with Shopify POS?
Fish Wishlist integrates directly with Shopify POS, allowing merchants to manage wishlists, purchase history, and abandoned carts from their POS system. Wishlist Genie does not offer POS integration.
Is one of these apps riskier to try out?
Wishlist Genie is riskier to try out because there are no ratings or reviews. Fish Wishlist has positive ratings and reviews, but only a small sample size, still making it somewhat risky.
Which app is a better value?
Value is hard to determine without knowing the pricing for each app. Fish Wishlist could be higher priced as it offers more functionality. Wishlist Genie could be a great value if you need a simple wishlist application without advanced features, and the app works as described. However, without price data and reviews for Wishlist Genie, Fish Wishlist is likely the better overall value.
