Firmwater LMS Connect vs Tevello Courses & Communitiesfor Shopify (2026)
Firmwater LMS Connect and Tevello Courses & Communities both enable Shopify merchants to sell online courses and digital products. However, their approaches and target audiences differ. Firmwater LMS Connect focuses on merchants who already use the Firmwater LMS platform and want to extend their course sales to Shopify. It provides a direct connection to an existing LMS, streamlining the process for established training providers. Tevello Courses & Communities, on the other hand, is designed for merchants who want a more integrated e-learning experience within their Shopify store, including community building and upselling physical products alongside courses. Its strength lies in creating a cohesive customer journey within the Shopify ecosystem. The key difference is in the level of integration and target user. Firmwater assumes an existing course catalog and management system, while Tevello provides a more holistic platform for creating, selling, and engaging with customers around courses directly within Shopify. Tevello's focus on community and upselling showcases its objective to not only offer course content, but to foster customer loyalty and increase overall sales revenue. Although both are rated 5/5, the dramatically different number of reviews indicates that Tevello has a much larger and more established user base.
