FeedGeni ‑ Product Feeds vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
FeedGeni - Product Feeds and Selling Point, while both categorized under "Selling online" in the Shopify app store, serve fundamentally different purposes. FeedGeni focuses on streamlining product feed management for multi-channel sales. It helps merchants create, manage, and automate the synchronization of product information across various marketing and sales channels like Google Merchant Center, Facebook, and TikTok. Its strength lies in its ability to keep product catalogs up-to-date and optimized, including custom title and descriptions. Its target audience is businesses actively marketing their products on multiple platforms and who need a centralized system to manage their product feeds. Selling Point, on the other hand, addresses a specific pain point: the migration of gift cards and store credit from other platforms to Shopify. It enables merchants to easily import gift cards and store credit in bulk, even converting physical gift cards to virtual ones. Its primary strength lies in its ease of use and speed for migrating gift card balances. Its target audience consists of stores migrating to Shopify from another POS system or platform and want to bring their existing gift card/store credit balances without manual data entry or developer intervention. While both aim to improve a merchant's "selling online" process, they do so in distinctly different areas.

Our Verdict
If you're actively marketing your products across multiple platforms like Google, Facebook, TikTok and require a way to automate and optimize your product feeds, FeedGeni - Product Feeds is the better choice. Its automated feed updates and custom optimization features will save you time and effort. Selling Point is a highly specialized tool best suited for merchants transitioning to Shopify who need to migrate existing gift card balances quickly and easily, or require bulk operations on Gift Cards and Store Credits. Its ease of use and targeted feature set make it ideal for this specific task. Choosing the right app depends entirely on your business needs; if you don't have gift cards to migrate, Selling Point is irrelevant, and vice versa for multi-channel sellers and FeedGeni.
