Our Verdict
The choice between F: Sell by Weight for POS and Stockist Store Locator depends entirely on the merchant's business model. If a merchant sells goods by weight, particularly in a physical store environment using Shopify POS, then F: Sell by Weight for POS could be a valuable tool. However, its lack of reviews raises concerns about its reliability and functionality in 2026. Stockist Store Locator is clearly the better option if the merchant has multiple physical locations and wants to improve discoverability and drive in-store traffic. The high rating and substantial number of positive reviews strongly suggest a reliable and effective solution for store location management.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, F: Sell by Weight for POS offers a 'one-click installation' via smart grid tile integration, potentially indicating a quicker setup compared to Stockist's website integration. However, the lack of user reviews for F: Sell by Weight for POS makes this claim difficult to verify in practice.
Which app is better for a purely online store?
Stockist Store Locator is irrelevant for a purely online store. F: Sell by Weight for POS, being a POS app, also provides no direct value to an exclusively online merchant.
Which app has better customer support?
Without further information on support channels, it's difficult to make an informed assessment. The high number of positive reviews for Stockist Store Locator suggests a better customer experience overall, which may include robust support.
Can both apps be used together?
While technically possible, using both apps concurrently makes little sense. F: Sell by Weight for POS caters to weight-based POS sales, and Stockist Store Locator focuses on directing customers to physical stores. They address distinct needs and don't offer synergistic value when used together.
Which app offers analytics?
Stockist Store Locator explicitly mentions 'insightful analytics show where customers are looking for your products'. F: Sell by Weight for POS focuses on inventory management and pricing and does not appear to offer customer-facing analytics.
