Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a proven solution with a large community and a high review score, OPTIS Product Options, Variant is the clear winner, despite not explicitly highlighting AI. However, if a merchant values AI-driven suggestions, and aims for ultra-fast setup with a modern feel, EZ Product options & variants could be a more appealing choice, especially for new stores. Merchants should test both apps (if free trials are available) before making a final decision, focusing on their specific workflow and feature requirements, but the vast difference in reviews suggests OPTIS provides a more robust, well-tested solution overall. Given the 2026 context, mobile-friendliness and ease-of-use are essentially baseline requirements; thus, reviews become a key differentiator.
