ESTS Shipping Insurance vs Shipping Protection —Shipcheckfor Shopify (2026)
ESTS Shipping Insurance and Shipping Protection —Shipcheck both aim to provide Shopify merchants with shipping protection options, but they differ significantly in their approach and target audience. ESTS Shipping Insurance positions itself as a simple solution to enhance customer confidence and safeguard shipments, emphasizing seamless integration and admin-controlled customization. However, it lacks user reviews and ratings, making it difficult to assess its real-world performance. Shipping Protection —Shipcheck, on the other hand, focuses on empowering merchants to create their own shipping protection program. It allows merchants to charge customers for shipping protection based on cart value and retain all insurance revenue. The app boasts a perfect 5/5 rating from 39 reviews, suggesting a high level of user satisfaction. Shipcheck prioritizes merchant control, revenue generation, and brand customization, appealing to merchants looking to actively manage their shipping protection program and profit from it. ESTS seems more of a 'set it and forget it' solution, whereas Shipcheck is more hands-on and profit-driven.

Our Verdict
Shipping Protection —Shipcheck appears to be the stronger option for most Shopify merchants in 2026, primarily due to its positive user reviews, transparent revenue model, and greater control over the shipping protection program. Merchants looking for a hands-off solution might be drawn to ESTS Shipping Insurance, but the complete lack of reviews raises significant concerns about its reliability and effectiveness.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's priorities. If revenue generation and brand control are paramount, Shipping Protection —Shipcheck is the clear winner. If a simple, hands-off approach is preferred (and the merchant is willing to take a risk on an unproven app), ESTS Shipping Insurance might be considered - but only after extensive due diligence.
