ESTS Shipping Insurance vs PMO: ProtectMyOrderfor Shopify (2026)
ESTS Shipping Insurance and PMO: ProtectMyOrder both target Shopify merchants looking to offer shipping-related protection to their customers, but they operate under very different models. ESTS Shipping Insurance positions itself as a solution to instill customer confidence and safeguard shipments, emphasizing features like cart integration and admin-controlled customization. It seems to be geared towards merchants who want complete control over their insurance offerings and are willing to handle claims themselves (although this isn't explicitly stated, the description leans in this direction). PMO: ProtectMyOrder, on the other hand, is designed for merchants who want to generate revenue by upselling premium services, including shipping protection, carbon-neutral shipping, and free returns. Its key differentiator is the revenue-sharing model (merchant keeps 80%), with PMO handling claims. The focus is on ease of use, rapid implementation, and maximizing Average Order Value (AOV). The target audience appears to be merchants who prioritize revenue generation and prefer a hands-off approach to claims management.

Our Verdict
PMO: ProtectMyOrder is the clear choice for merchants seeking a quick, revenue-generating solution with minimal effort on their part. The 5-star rating and 13 reviews, combined with the revenue-sharing model and claims handling by PMO, make it a compelling option for those prioritizing AOV and customer experience. ESTS Shipping Insurance, on the other hand, is a riskier choice given the lack of reviews. However, it *might* be suitable for merchants who need very specific control over insurance policies and are willing to manage claims internally. But given the absence of reviews and the vagueness of the description, proceeding with ESTS is highly uncertain in 2026. Unless ESTS gains traction and builds a strong user base, PMO: ProtectMyOrder is the significantly stronger choice.
