Estimato | ETA Delivery Widget vs Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZipfor Shopify (2026)
Estimato | ETA Delivery Widget and Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip both fall under the 'Delivery and pickup' category on Shopify, but cater to different needs. Estimato focuses on improving customer trust and conversions by providing estimated delivery dates on product pages. Its strength lies in its ease of use and customization options for displaying ETA information. ShipZip, on the other hand, targets merchants with more complex shipping requirements, offering advanced shipping rules and rate calculations based on various parameters like product attributes, zip codes, and delivery dates. ShipZip is clearly designed for merchants who need granular control over their shipping rates and delivery options, particularly those with local delivery or store pickup services, and those who require carrier-calculated shipping rates. Estimato is better suited for merchants who want a simple and effective way to display estimated delivery dates without needing complex shipping rule configurations. Estimato emphasizes a no-code setup, while ShipZip requires Carrier Calculated Shipping API indicating a more technical implementation, although possibly enabling more powerful features. The vast difference in review count indicates that ShipZip has a much larger user base, which could suggest it solves a more widespread problem or that it has simply been around for longer.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with displaying estimated delivery dates to increase customer trust and reduce support inquiries, Estimato | ETA Delivery Widget is the clear choice. Its no-code setup and easy customization make it accessible to businesses of all sizes. However, for merchants with intricate shipping requirements, such as those needing to calculate rates based on product attributes, zip codes, or delivery dates, or those offering local delivery/store pickup, Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip offers a far more robust solution, despite its potentially steeper learning curve. Consider ShipZip if managing complex shipping scenarios is critical, and Estimato if you need a quick and simple ETA solution.
