Essential Trust Badges & Icons vs ShopClimb ‑ Trust Badgesfor Shopify (2026)
Essential Trust Badges & Icons and ShopClimb ‑ Trust Badges both aim to boost sales by building trust through visual cues. However, they differ in scope and target audience. Essential Trust Badges & Icons offers a broader suite of features, going beyond just payment icons to include sale badges, discount badges, product labels, and customizable trust badges. It empowers merchants to design a comprehensive visual trust strategy across their store. The customer reviews also give a sense of different user experience. Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants looking for a complete solution with a wide variety of badges and granular customization, Essential Trust Badges & Icons is the better choice. It allows complete control over the look and placement of badges, stickers and icons across the store. However, if your primary goal is to quickly and easily implement payment badges, especially if you're a Shopify Plus user wanting checkout integration and geolocation features, ShopClimb ‑ Trust Badges is more suitable. The smaller number of features and easier installation would likely lead to quicker success, even if the trust-building strategy is not as wide-ranging.
Given Essential Trust Badges & Icons has significantly more reviews and a slightly better average rating, it would likely be the safer option for most merchants. However, Shopify Plus users should carefully consider ShopClimb, because the Shopify Plus feature is not offered in Essential Trust Badges & Icons. If the Shopify Plus function is important to the user, then the slightly lower user rating should be strongly considered.
