Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking a tool to *edit* existing product information in bulk, EditEngine Bulk Product Editor is the clear choice. Its features like real-time previews, one-click undo, and scheduling provide a safe and efficient way to manage product updates. The higher number of reviews, although still a small sample size, adds some confidence.
On the other hand, im•api (catalog) is better suited for merchants needing to *import* products from external sources like CSV files or ERP systems. Its ability to handle metafields, variants, and images during import, combined with Liquid-based data mapping, makes it a powerful tool for onboarding new products efficiently, especially those with complex data structures. If product import is your primary need, im•api (catalog) is the recommended option. However, more user reviews would provide better insight into its usability and performance.
Common Questions
Can EditEngine import products from CSV files?
The app description focuses on *editing* existing products. While it may offer CSV export, it is not designed for importing.
