EasySell COD Form & Upsells vs Koala Free Gift BOGO Giftsfor Shopify (2026)
EasySell COD Form & Upsells and Koala Free Gift BOGO Gifts are both highly-rated Shopify apps (4.9/5 stars) designed to increase Average Order Value (AOV) and conversions, but they approach this goal with distinct strategies. EasySell is focused on streamlining Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, particularly for dropshipping businesses, by offering a simplified order form, OTP verification, and automated export to Google Sheets. Its upsell and downsell features are integrated within this COD-centric framework. Koala, on the other hand, takes a broader approach to boosting AOV through free gifts, BOGO (Buy One Get One) offers, BXGY (Buy X Get Y) offers, and upsell pop-ups. It offers a more general suite of promotional tools for increasing order value and engagement, applicable to a wider range of e-commerce businesses beyond just dropshipping. Both apps facilitate increased AOV, but EasySell prioritizes a smooth COD process while Koala focuses on promotional deals and product bundling.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily reliant on Cash on Delivery, especially dropshippers concerned about fake orders and manual processing, EasySell COD Form & Upsells is the clear winner. Its focus on streamlining the COD process, coupled with security features like OTP verification and IP blocking, directly addresses their specific needs. However, for a general e-commerce business looking to boost AOV through a wider range of promotional tactics like free gifts, BOGO offers, and upsell pop-ups, Koala Free Gift BOGO Gifts offers a more comprehensive solution. If a store does not rely heavily on COD, Koala will likely provide more versatility and potentially higher overall AOV improvements through its diverse promotional toolkit. Ultimately the choice depends on the core business model and pain points.
Common Questions
Which app is better for preventing fake orders?
EasySell is better equipped to prevent fake orders with features like OTP phone verification, IP address blocking, and postal code limiting.
Which app is better for businesses that don't use Cash on Delivery?
Koala is the better option for businesses not reliant on COD, as it offers a wider range of promotional features like free gifts and BOGO offers that are not specific to COD orders.
Can both apps integrate with marketing pixels like Facebook or TikTok?
EasySell explicitly mentions integration with Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, Google, and Pinterest tracking pixels. Koala does not mention direct marketing pixel integration, although its pop-ups could indirectly contribute to pixel data capture.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Both apps aim for ease of use, but Koala's description emphasizes an 'intuitive setup' for creating promotional offers. EasySell's focus on a streamlined COD process likely simplifies that aspect, but may require more specific configuration for security features.
If I want to automatically send COD orders to Google Sheets, which app should I choose?
EasySell explicitly offers automatic export of Cash on Delivery orders to Google Sheets. Koala does not offer this feature.
