Easy Appointment Booking App vs POSify: Customize POS Productsfor Shopify (2026)
Easy Appointment Booking App and POSify: Customize POS Products both target merchants using Shopify's in-person selling capabilities. However, they address drastically different needs. Easy Appointment Booking App focuses on enabling appointment scheduling and management directly through Shopify, appealing to businesses offering services, rentals, or experiences. Its strength lies in its integration with popular calendar and communication tools, customer self-service booking modifications, and customizable setup. POSify, on the other hand, centers around enhancing the Point of Sale (POS) experience by allowing staff to capture product customizations and post-purchase data during in-person transactions. POSify's primary focus is on streamlining the in-store checkout process by empowering staff to easily add customizations to products (e.g., engravings) and collect customer feedback after a purchase, all within the Shopify POS system. It shines in its simplicity of use, allowing staff to complete customizations in a few taps, and its ability to store customization data, making it accessible in receipts and Shopify admin. While both apps reside under the 'Selling in Person' and 'Retail' categories on Shopify, their functionalities cater to very different aspects of the retail experience. Easy Appointment Booking manages time-based inventory, while POSify enhances product and customer data capture during the transaction.

Our Verdict
For merchants offering services like workshops, tours, rentals, or classes, the Easy Appointment Booking App is the clear choice. Its robust features for scheduling, customer communication, and integration with popular tools make it ideal for managing appointments efficiently. The high number of positive reviews also suggests a reliable and well-supported app.
POSify is better suited for retailers who need to capture customizations, such as engravings or personalized messages, at the point of sale. While the app shows promise with its functionality, the very low number of reviews (only 1) means merchants should carefully consider the potential for bugs or lack of community support. If customization and post-purchase data are crucial for your in-person sales, POSify might be worth exploring, but tread cautiously and thoroughly test it during the trial period.
