Earthr App vs Lift: Charity and Donationsfor Shopify (2026)
Earthr App and Lift: Charity and Donations both aim to integrate charitable giving into Shopify stores, but they differ significantly in their approach, features, and apparent maturity. Earthr App focuses primarily on a simple round-up feature to support a store's environmental efforts, positioning itself as an easy way for merchants to embrace sustainability. Lift, on the other hand, offers a broader suite of donation tools designed for both nonprofits and businesses seeking to incorporate giving into their brand identity. It provides customizable giving options beyond round-ups, including donation tiers, match funding, and percentage-of-sale contributions, and it includes robust tracking and reporting. Lift's multi-channel support and Point of Sale integration further set it apart. The most glaring difference is the established presence of Lift with positive reviews and a solid rating, in contrast to Earthr App's complete lack of reviews or ratings, potentially signaling a very new or underdeveloped app.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a straightforward, hands-off approach to supporting environmental causes through a simple round-up feature, Earthr App *could* be an option, assuming it overcomes its lack of reviews and establishes some credibility. However, given the absence of any user feedback, it's difficult to recommend it confidently. Lift: Charity and Donations is a much more robust and established solution for businesses and non-profits looking for comprehensive donation management. If a merchant needs customizable donation options, multi-channel support, detailed reporting, and seamless integration with their store design, Lift is the clear choice. Its positive reviews provide social proof and build confidence in its effectiveness and reliability. For now, Earthr App appears to be in an early stage, lacking the features and validation necessary to compete with Lift.
