Dynamic markup vs Singleton | Verify Customersfor Shopify (2026)
Dynamic Markup and Singleton | Verify Customers, while both categorized under 'Pricing' in the Shopify app store, serve vastly different purposes for merchants in 2026. Dynamic Markup focuses on automated price adjustments based on inventory levels, aiming to maximize profits and optimize stock management. Its core functionality revolves around dynamically increasing prices as stock dwindles, capitalizing on demand surges and preventing underpricing. The target audience is merchants seeking to automate their pricing strategy and boost revenue through intelligent inventory management. Singleton | Verify Customers, on the other hand, prioritizes customer control and validation. This app empowers merchants to scrutinize registered customers, granting or denying access to pricing information and the ability to add products to their cart. It's designed for businesses requiring restricted access to their store content, potentially due to membership requirements, wholesale operations, or regulatory compliance. The core value proposition lies in creating a controlled shopping environment where access is granted based on pre-defined criteria, unlike Dynamic markup's focus on optimizing sales through automatic pricing adjustments.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to automate pricing strategies and optimize revenue based on inventory levels, Dynamic Markup is the clear choice. Its focus on dynamically adjusting prices in response to stock levels addresses a specific need and promises a tangible return on investment. However, the extremely low number of reviews should be a consideration.
Conversely, if the primary concern revolves around controlling access to pricing and store content, and implementing a customer verification process, Singleton | Verify Customers is the superior option. Its customer approval and content restriction features cater to a distinct need for merchants who require stringent control over who can view their products and make purchases. While the pricing category overlap exists, these apps solve very different problems for Shopify merchants.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Dynamic Markup likely has a simpler setup due to its focus on pricing rules, whereas Singleton | Verify Customers involves customer management, custom form creation, and approval processes, potentially requiring more configuration.
Which app offers a better ROI?
The ROI depends entirely on the merchant's needs. Dynamic Markup offers ROI through increased profits from dynamic pricing, while Singleton | Verify Customers offers ROI through controlled access and potentially higher-value customers. However, without more data or reviews for Dynamic Markup, the actual ROI is difficult to gauge.
Which app is better for a wholesale business?
Singleton | Verify Customers is likely better suited for wholesale businesses that require controlled access and customer verification to ensure only approved retailers can view pricing and make purchases.
Which app would I use if I wanted to run flash sales?
Neither app is ideal for running flash sales directly. While Dynamic Markup could be *adapted* by rapidly depleting stock, a dedicated flash sale app would be better. Dynamic markup could potentially automatically increase prices as stock depletes which would reduce the impact of the sale.
Does either app offer A/B testing?
Neither app description mentions A/B testing capabilities. This feature would likely require a separate app specifically designed for testing pricing or content variations.
