Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily focused on boosting sales through automated discounts and offers, DS Auto gift & discount is the clear choice. Its Buy X Get Y, tiered discount, and progress bar features are designed to increase AOV. However, with only 2 reviews, new merchants should consider this smaller sample size when deciding whether to install.
If the primary goal is to provide a personalized and memorable gift-giving experience for customers, especially for corporate or bulk orders, Video Greet: Gift Messaging is the better option. Its video/audio messaging and dynamic QR landing pages offer a unique touch, although they might require more active input from the customer. While it will not directly result in discounts, the positive customer experience could lead to higher customer retention and lifetime value.
