DropCommerce: US Dropshipping vs Printify: Print on Demandfor Shopify (2026)
DropCommerce: US Dropshipping and Printify: Print on Demand both cater to Shopify merchants seeking dropshipping solutions, but their approaches and target audiences diverge significantly. DropCommerce positions itself as a provider of high-quality, North American-sourced products, emphasizing fast and reliable shipping (2-7 days) and a curated selection focused on eco-friendly, fair-trade, and handmade goods. It aims to differentiate itself from platforms like AliExpress and Oberlo by offering faster delivery times and supposedly higher-quality products. Their website claims automated fulfillment and expert support. Printify, on the other hand, is a print-on-demand service offering a wide selection of customizable products, from apparel to home decor. It caters to merchants seeking to sell custom-designed products without holding inventory, leveraging a global network of print providers who handle printing, packaging, and shipping.

Our Verdict
Printify, with its significantly higher rating and large number of reviews, appears to be the more reliable and established option. Its focus on print-on-demand allows merchants to create and sell unique products without upfront investment in inventory. This is ideal for entrepreneurs looking to test new designs, build a brand around custom merchandise, and serve a global customer base. DropCommerce, despite its claims of high-quality North American products and faster shipping, suffers from a concerningly low rating and small number of reviews, suggesting potential issues with product quality, fulfillment, or customer service. It might appeal to merchants specifically targeting the US/Canadian market with eco-conscious products, but the risk seems significantly higher. However, in 2026, with so few reviews and a zero rating, DropCommerce is a very risky choice and should only be considered if the issues causing this rating are resolved.
Common Questions
Which app is better for someone starting a dropshipping business with no prior experience?
Printify is likely the better choice for beginners due to its higher ratings and established reputation, indicating a more user-friendly experience and reliable fulfillment process. The low rating of DropCommerce suggests potential issues that could complicate the experience for a novice.
Can I sell branded merchandise with both apps?
Yes, both apps allow you to sell branded merchandise. With Printify, you upload your designs to customize products. With DropCommerce, the brands are pre-existing, but the merchant brands and markets these products.
What if I want to focus exclusively on eco-friendly and ethically sourced products?
DropCommerce claims to specialize in eco-friendly, fair-trade, and vegan products from North American suppliers. However, due to the extremely low rating, it is important to thoroughly research and verify the claims about ethical sourcing and product quality before committing to using DropCommerce.
Which app offers better profit margins?
Profit margins depend on the product pricing and the merchant's marketing and sales strategies. Printify offers a wider range of products with varying costs, allowing merchants to adjust pricing to maximize profits. DropCommerce's profit margins will depend on the prices of their North American sourced items.
Which app has faster shipping times?
DropCommerce advertises shipping times of 2-7 days within the US/Canada, potentially faster than Printify, which relies on a global network of print providers with varying shipping times. However, Printify has faster shipping within countries with a large number of print providers. That said, given the poor rating of DropCommerce, its claims about shipping may not be accurate.
