DRIP: Returns For Sale Widget vs Reshop Appfor Shopify (2026)
DRIP: Returns For Sale Widget and Reshop App both operate within the Shopify returns ecosystem, but cater to significantly different approaches. DRIP focuses on direct selling of open-box or imperfect condition items directly on the merchant's website. It emphasizes control over branding and direct customer interaction, enabling merchants to maximize revenue from items that would otherwise be considered unsellable through traditional channels. Reshop, on the other hand, aims to retain customers who are initiating returns by driving repurchase. It guides customers through a personalized shopping experience via a mobile app after they initiate a return, and offering return tracking, focusing on retaining the customer within the ecosystem. The key differentiator is that DRIP sells the *original* returned/imperfect item, while Reshop promotes *new* item purchases after a return has been initiated.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to liquidate returns directly and maintain direct control over the sales process of those returned items, DRIP: Returns For Sale Widget appears to be a strong contender, especially given its positive reviews and emphasis on branding. It’s best suited for merchants who have a considerable volume of open-box, damaged, or refurbished inventory they want to monetize. Reshop App targets merchants who prioritize customer retention and aim to guide customers toward new purchases after a return. While Reshop's concept is promising, the lack of reviews and information makes it difficult to assess its effectiveness compared to DRIP, which has demonstrable (albeit limited) positive feedback. Merchants should carefully consider their priorities: direct sales vs. repurchase encouragement. If the goal is to sell returns directly, DRIP is the clear choice based on the provided information. If the goal is customer retention and promoting new purchases, Reshop might be a suitable option, pending further reviews and information.
