DPO Dynamic Product Options vs SU CALCULATOR & CONFIGURATORfor Shopify (2026)
DPO Dynamic Product Options boasts a significantly higher rating (5/5) and a large number of reviews (290) compared to SU CALCULATOR & CONFIGURATOR (3.7/5 and 3 reviews). This suggests DPO has a strong reputation and likely offers a user-friendly experience with broad appeal. SU CALCULATOR & CONFIGURATOR, on the other hand, positions itself as a specialized solution for merchants selling highly customizable and made-to-order products requiring complex calculations and configurations. It caters to a niche market, potentially explaining the lower rating and review count. While both apps fall under the 'Pricing' and 'Custom Products' Shopify categories, SU CALCULATOR & CONFIGURATOR goes far beyond simple pricing options. It focuses on formula-based pricing, complex unit calculations (length, mass, area, etc.), live previews, file uploading, quotes support, and even includes a product visualizer. Its broad range of use cases from doors to sandwiches suggests extensive customizability to fit a wide range of very specific product configuration and pricing needs. This level of complexity likely requires a steeper learning curve than DPO but offers unparalleled flexibility for merchants with intricate product requirements.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a straightforward solution to enhance product options and customization without complex calculations, DPO Dynamic Product Options is likely the better choice, indicated by its superior rating and higher review volume. Its ease of use and proven track record make it a safer bet for general product customization needs.
However, if you sell made-to-order products requiring precise calculations, complex configurations, and visual representations – such as windows, doors, or custom furniture – SU CALCULATOR & CONFIGURATOR provides the advanced features necessary to manage these intricacies. Despite the lower rating and fewer reviews, its specialized functionalities like formula pricing, unit conversions, and product visualizer could be invaluable for niche businesses with complex product offerings. Be prepared for a potentially steeper learning curve and the need for customization to match your specific needs.
