DPO Dynamic Product Options vs Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotechfor Shopify (2026)
DPO Dynamic Product Options and Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech cater to distinct needs within the Shopify ecosystem, despite sharing the 'Pricing' and 'Pricing Quotes' categories. DPO Dynamic Product Options (DPO) focuses on allowing merchants to offer customizable product options, likely impacting the final price displayed to the customer. Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech, on the other hand, directly addresses the need for merchants, particularly those in B2B or those dealing with custom orders, to provide personalized quotes to potential customers. The primary difference lies in the sales process they support. DPO is designed for instant customization and purchase, whereas Request Quote facilitates a pre-sale interaction and negotiation. The complete lack of reviews and ratings for Request Quote compared to the numerous positive reviews for DPO suggests a significant difference in user experience or market penetration as of 2026. If DPO maintains its popularity and focus, it would likely be suitable for businesses seeking direct-to-consumer customizations. Request Quote would be tailored to merchants that handle inquiries and custom orders.

Our Verdict
Choosing between DPO Dynamic Product Options and Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech depends heavily on the business model. If the goal is to allow customers to customize products directly on the website and see the price update in real-time, DPO Dynamic Product Options, with its strong positive reviews, is the clear choice. It indicates established functionality and user satisfaction.
However, if the business relies on providing custom quotes for complex or bulk orders, or serves a B2B clientele, Request Quote ‑ Opal Infotech might be more suitable. The lack of reviews is a risk, but the targeted functionality could be invaluable. Businesses choosing Request Quote should prioritize testing and support to ensure it meets their specific needs, and be prepared for potentially troubleshooting during setup. If a business offers both direct customization and custom quotes, they may need to investigate using both apps or look for a more comprehensive solution. Businesses should also be aware DPO's lack of 'Request Quote' features may make it a less desirable app for B2B merchants or those needing to provide bulk discounts to customers.
