DPO Dynamic Product Options vs Price List Pro ‑ products listfor Shopify (2026)
DPO Dynamic Product Options focuses on enriching the individual product page experience by allowing merchants to create dynamic options. This can include customizations like personalized engravings or selecting specific components, altering the displayed price based on user choices. Price List Pro, on the other hand, is geared toward creating downloadable and printable price lists or catalogs. It allows merchants to generate separate pages that list products and their associated information, such as SKU, stock status, and vendor details, packaged in XLS or PDF formats. The core difference lies in their purpose: DPO enhances the single product buying experience, while Price List Pro streamlines catalog creation and product information sharing. DPO is suitable for businesses that offer product customization and personalization options. Price List Pro serves businesses needing to provide downloadable product catalogs for offline use or for distribution to specific client segments, such as wholesalers. While both apps fall under the 'Pricing' category on Shopify, their implementations address different aspects of product pricing and information display.

Our Verdict
If your primary goal is to provide detailed product customization and enhance the single product page experience, DPO Dynamic Product Options is the better choice. Its focus on dynamic options allows for a tailored shopping experience. However, if your business requires creating and sharing price lists or catalogs in downloadable formats, particularly for wholesale or offline distribution, Price List Pro is the more suitable option. It provides a streamlined way to present product information, including pricing, SKU, and stock status, in a convenient PDF or XLS format.
Given the significantly larger number of reviews, DPO likely has a broader user base and potentially a more mature feature set, but that doesn't automatically mean it's better for *every* merchant. The optimal choice depends entirely on the specific business needs. Price List Pro might be perfectly adequate for merchants needing a simple price list solution.
Common Questions
Can both apps handle product variants?
While DPO's description isn't provided, product options typically impact variants. Price List Pro explicitly states it can show/hide variants in the price lists.

Yes, both apps address different needs and can coexist if a merchant requires both dynamic product options and downloadable price lists.
Is either app suitable for dropshipping businesses?
