Our Verdict
If the primary goal is to revolutionize the in-store search experience and provide personalized product recommendations to boost conversions, DOOFINDER ‑ Search & Discovery is the clear choice. Its robust AI-powered features and merchandising tools are designed for larger stores with complex catalogs that can benefit from enhanced search functionality. However, for merchants who prioritize SEO and want a straightforward solution to improve site navigation and search engine visibility, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap offers a simpler and more focused approach. It's a fundamental SEO tool suitable for any Shopify store, regardless of size.
Common Questions
Does Doofinder create a sitemap?
The app description does not explicitly state that DOOFINDER creates sitemaps. Its primary focus is on in-store search and discovery, not SEO-focused sitemaps.
Can Magical XML/HTML Sitemap improve my search rankings?
Yes, by creating and linking your XML sitemap, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap helps Google crawl and index your website more effectively, which can improve your search rankings.
Is Doofinder hard to set up?
While the app description emphasizes ease of use with 'milliseconds' performance, the comprehensive feature set suggests a potentially more involved setup process compared to a simpler sitemap generator.
Do I need both apps?
Whether you need both apps depends on your priorities. If you want to enhance both in-store search *and* SEO through sitemaps, then using both is a valid strategy. However, they address very distinct aspects of the customer journey.
Which app is better for a small store?
For a small store just starting out, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap offers a more immediately beneficial and cost-effective solution. Improving SEO through sitemaps is a fundamental step for online visibility. Doofinder might be overkill at this stage, but can be considered as the business scales.
