Discord Connect vs EasyB2B: Password Protectionfor Shopify (2026)
Discord Connect and EasyB2B: Password Protection both target Shopify merchants but serve vastly different purposes. Discord Connect focuses on leveraging Discord authentication to streamline user logins and build a community around a store. Its strength lies in its ability to connect a Shopify store with a Discord server, automatically assigning roles based on purchases and offering exclusive perks, fostering community engagement and loyalty. It caters to merchants who want to build a strong online community and integrate their store with an existing or new Discord server. EasyB2B: Password Protection, on the other hand, is designed to manage B2B wholesale operations. It allows merchants to password-protect collections and products, manage wholesaler registrations, and integrate with email marketing platforms. Its key strength is providing tools for controlling access to specific products and collections, streamlining B2B registration and approval processes. The primary difference lies in their target audiences and core functionalities. Discord Connect targets merchants looking to enhance their user experience and build a community through Discord integration, while EasyB2B targets merchants involved in wholesale or B2B commerce who need tools to manage access and registration. Discord Connect emphasizes community building and engagement, whereas EasyB2B emphasizes access control and B2B workflow simplification. The 'Accounts and login' Shopify category is misleading as they solve different problems within that category; Discord Connect offers an alternative login method, while EasyB2B restricts access based on a specific B2B approval process.

Our Verdict
The choice between Discord Connect and EasyB2B: Password Protection depends entirely on the merchant's business model and goals. If a merchant aims to cultivate a community around their brand, enhance user engagement, and provide exclusive perks to Discord members, Discord Connect is the better choice. Its integration with Discord allows for targeted communication and community building that can drive loyalty and sales.
However, if a merchant operates a wholesale business or needs to restrict access to certain products or collections for B2B customers, EasyB2B: Password Protection is the clear winner. Its password protection, registration management, and email integration features are crucial for managing B2B operations effectively and securely. While both have 5/5 ratings, the number of reviews suggest that Discord Connect may have more active users and a slightly more established presence. Therefore, EasyB2B is a niche solution, while Discord Connect can offer broader benefits.
