DeskMoz ‑24x7 Live Chat Agents vs Relocate+ Order Editorfor Shopify (2026)
DeskMoz ‑24x7 Live Chat Agents and Relocate+ Order Editor address different aspects of customer service for Shopify merchants. DeskMoz offers a fully managed, outsourced solution for real-time customer support via live chat, email, and social media, positioning itself as a comprehensive customer service team extension. Relocate+ Order Editor, on the other hand, focuses on empowering customers with self-service order editing capabilities, aiming to reduce support tickets and returns by allowing customers to modify orders themselves. While both apps aim to improve customer satisfaction, DeskMoz provides a hands-off solution for merchants who want to outsource their customer service operations entirely. Relocate+ is geared towards merchants who prefer to automate certain customer service tasks, such as address changes and product modifications, while retaining more control over the process. The primary differentiator lies in the level of involvement required from the merchant: DeskMoz is fully managed, while Relocate+ requires initial configuration and rule creation.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a completely hands-off customer support solution and desiring immediate, 24/7 availability across multiple channels, DeskMoz ‑24x7 Live Chat Agents is the stronger choice. The fully managed service, while potentially more expensive, eliminates the need for in-house staffing and training.
Relocate+ Order Editor is better suited for merchants who prefer a more cost-effective, automated approach. It's ideal for businesses experiencing a high volume of order modification requests and wanting to empower customers to resolve these issues independently. While it requires initial setup, the long-term benefits of reduced support tickets and increased customer satisfaction can be substantial.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
DeskMoz is likely easier to use in the long run, as it's a fully managed service. Relocate+ requires initial configuration and rule setup, which may have a steeper learning curve initially.
Which app is more scalable?
DeskMoz is likely more scalable in terms of support volume, as their team of 200+ agents can handle a large influx of inquiries. Relocate+'s scalability depends on how effectively the self-service rules are configured to handle different scenarios.
Which app is more budget-friendly?
Relocate+ is generally more budget-friendly, as it leverages self-service automation instead of employing human agents. DeskMoz, being a managed service, will likely have a higher monthly cost.
Which app is better for reducing order errors?
Relocate+ directly addresses order errors by allowing customers to modify their orders before shipment. DeskMoz can indirectly reduce errors by providing agents who can clarify order details with customers before fulfillment, but relies more on preventing errors through human interaction, rather than automation.
What if I need both live chat and self-service order editing?
You could potentially use both apps in conjunction. DeskMoz can handle complex inquiries that require human intervention, while Relocate+ can address simple order modifications, allowing for a comprehensive customer service strategy. However, it's essential to consider the potential cost and overlap in functionalities.
