Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants using the Debutify theme or prioritizing ease of use and potentially more comprehensive GDPR compliance handling (implied by the omission of stating that the merchant has cookie blocking responsibility), DB GDPR Cookie Consent Banner may be the better choice, especially given its 24/7 support. However, the limited number of reviews should be considered. On the other hand, Scala GDPR EU Cookie Banner is suitable for more technically adept merchants comfortable managing cookie blocking themselves and who prefer a lightweight, non-invasive app that doesn't store user preferences using cookies or modify theme files. The larger number of reviews, while still small, might inspire more confidence.
