DailyStory Email and SMS vs Universal SMS Pakistanfor Shopify (2026)
DailyStory Email and SMS and Universal SMS Pakistan are both Shopify apps aiming to boost sales through automated communication, but they differ significantly in scope and perceived effectiveness. DailyStory positions itself as a comprehensive solution, offering both email and SMS marketing with a focus on customizable, drag-and-drop automation flows applicable to various customer journey touchpoints like cart abandonment and shipping updates. It also emphasizes segmentation capabilities for targeted promotions. Our Verdict
Based on the available data, Universal SMS Pakistan appears to be a safer bet for merchants specifically operating in Pakistan and needing SMS-focused solutions for order management, OTP verification, and abandoned cart recovery. The high rating and positive reviews suggest a well-received and functional app. DailyStory, while promising comprehensive email and SMS automation, suffers from a very low rating and a single review, making it a riskier choice. Merchants considering DailyStory should proceed with extreme caution and thoroughly investigate the reasons for the low rating. If the feature set is critical and no alternative exists, a trial period is essential.
For stores outside Pakistan and/or needing both email and SMS, DailyStory presents the *potential* to meet those needs, but its current rating and lack of positive reviews would heavily suggest exploring alternative, better-reviewed, all-in-one email/SMS marketing solutions on the Shopify App Store.
