Customs Buddy vs Releasit Cash on Delivery CODfor Shopify (2026)
Customs Buddy and Releasit Cash on Delivery (COD) target distinct needs within Shopify operations. Customs Buddy focuses on international shipping, simplifying customs clearance with automated commercial invoice generation. Its primary value lies in reducing delays and ensuring compliance for cross-border commerce. Releasit COD, conversely, addresses the challenges of cash-on-delivery payment methods, providing features like fee/discount management, partial payments, and order verification to combat fraud and reduce failed deliveries, especially valuable in regions where COD is prevalent. While both apps fall under the 'Operations' category, their target audiences and functionalities diverge significantly. Customs Buddy appeals to merchants engaged in or planning to engage in international sales, who need to streamline customs paperwork. Releasit COD serves merchants who offer COD as a payment option, particularly those facing issues with fake orders or high return-to-origin (RTO) rates. Releasit COD enjoys a much larger user base and a slightly higher rating, indicating greater market adoption and potentially broader applicability within its target demographic.
