Our Verdict
For merchants whose primary need is to extract and manage product images outside of Shopify, particularly for archiving or repurposing, CS ‑ Export Product Images appears to be a suitable option, focusing on a specific task with control. However, the very limited number of reviews means it's hard to be confident about the app's reliability.
If the goal is to enhance the visual appeal of the store, improve SEO through image optimization, and protect images, Hextom: Bulk Image Edit & SEO is a more comprehensive solution, backed by a substantial number of user reviews, indicating reliability and usefulness. It caters to a broader set of needs related to product image management.
