Cotei ‑ Correios PAC e SEDEX vs Estimated Delivery Date: EODfor Shopify (2026)
Cotei ‑ Correios PAC e SEDEX focuses on providing accurate shipping rate calculations specifically for Correios, the Brazilian postal service. It supports a wide range of Correios shipping options, including SEDEX, PAC, Mini Envios, and international deliveries. Its strength lies in integrating directly with Correios' APIs and allowing merchants to configure their contracts for accurate pricing, utilize custom dimensions, and add processing days for accurate estimates. It aims to optimize logistics for merchants who heavily rely on Correios for shipping within Brazil and internationally from Brazil. Estimated Delivery Date: EOD, on the other hand, is a more general solution that focuses on providing estimated delivery dates to customers across various touchpoints in the customer journey. It builds customer confidence by managing expectations around shipping timelines. The two apps address very different needs. Cotei is all about the backend, ensuring correct shipping costs at checkout. Estimated Delivery Date: EOD is about the frontend, communicating anticipated delivery times to customers to reduce anxiety and improve conversion rates. While both apps touch upon shipping, their core functionalities and target audiences are distinct. One solves a problem of accurate pricing with a specific carrier; the other focuses on improving customer experience through transparency.
