Our Verdict
For merchants needing a comprehensive voice and SMS solution leveraging AI for customer service and sales, especially those already using tools like Klaviyo or Zendesk, CONSIO - Phone Call & AI Voice is the clear choice. However, it comes with a higher learning curve and likely a higher price point. If the primary goal is simply growing an email list and capturing basic customer information without complex integrations or AI-driven interactions, Shopify Forms is the more accessible and straightforward option, perfect for beginners or businesses with limited budgets and simpler needs.
Common Questions
Which app is better for providing 24/7 customer support?
CONSIO is significantly better due to its AI Voice Agent, which can handle FAQs and route calls 24/7, a feature Shopify Forms lacks entirely.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Shopify Forms is generally easier to set up and use, as it's designed for simplicity and seamless integration within the Shopify ecosystem. CONSIO, with its advanced features and integrations, requires more configuration.
Can I use either app to send promotional SMS messages?
CONSIO offers SMS campaign functionality directly. Shopify Forms focuses solely on data collection through forms and does not include SMS marketing capabilities.
Which app provides more detailed analytics?
While Shopify Forms offers basic performance metrics, CONSIO provides a more comprehensive ROI analysis by connecting phone conversations to Shopify orders and tracking campaign performance. Its AI hub with call summaries provides richer insights.
Is either app suitable for cold calling?
CONSIO is designed for outbound calling campaigns with features like a power dialer and voicemail drops, making it suitable for cold calling if done ethically and compliantly. Shopify Forms is irrelevant to cold calling.
