COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs Simple Wishlistfor Shopify (2026)
COD King and Simple Wishlist are Shopify apps targeting fundamentally different aspects of e-commerce operations. COD King focuses on optimizing cash-on-delivery (COD) orders, aiming to reduce return-to-origin (RTO) rates and increase conversion to prepaid orders, primarily in regions like India and Egypt. Its strengths lie in its OTP verification, partial payment options, COD fee implementation, and order conversion incentives. It directly impacts a merchant's bottom line by minimizing losses from failed deliveries and encouraging more secure payment methods. Simple Wishlist, conversely, centers on enhancing the customer experience and increasing product discoverability by allowing customers to save favorite items in a wishlist. Its strength lies in its ease of use and customization options for the wishlist button and page design.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with high COD return rates, particularly those operating in India and Egypt, COD King is the clear choice. Its features are specifically designed to address the challenges associated with COD orders, such as fake orders and RTO losses. However, for merchants focused on enhancing customer experience, increasing product discoverability, and encouraging future purchases through wishlists, Simple Wishlist provides a straightforward and user-friendly solution. If a merchant isn't facing significant COD-related issues, Simple Wishlist is the more relevant app. It is important to note the significant difference in review volume and overall rating, which may suggest higher user satisfaction and reliability for COD King despite its niche focus.
