COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs Simple Marqueefor Shopify (2026)
COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify and Simple Marquee, while both categorized under 'Notifications' on Shopify, serve drastically different purposes and target vastly different merchant needs. COD King is a solution focused on optimizing Cash-on-Delivery (COD) order fulfillment by reducing Return-to-Origin (RTO) and Return-to-Sender (RTS) issues. It employs OTP verification, upfront payment options, and COD fees to filter out unserious buyers and increase prepaid conversions. Simple Marquee, on the other hand, is a communication tool designed to engage customers by displaying important announcements, promotions, or news via a scrolling banner on the storefront. The primary difference lies in their core function. COD King directly impacts order fulfillment costs and conversion rates by addressing issues related to COD orders, particularly in regions like India and Egypt. Its key features are geared towards preventing losses from fake orders and encouraging prepaid transactions. Simple Marquee aims to enhance the customer experience and keep shoppers informed, focusing on aesthetic customization and ease of use for delivering messages. Therefore, the 'notifications' category applies to these apps very differently.
