COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs Notification PROfor Shopify (2026)
COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify and Notification PRO, while both listed under 'Notifications - Other' on Shopify, address vastly different e-commerce challenges. COD King targets merchants, specifically in India and Egypt, struggling with high rates of 'Return to Origin' (RTO) and 'Return to Sender' (RTS) due to Cash on Delivery (COD) orders. It aims to reduce losses by verifying COD orders through OTP, enabling upfront or partial payments, and applying COD fees. Its core value proposition is risk mitigation and profit maximization in COD-heavy markets. Notification PRO, on the other hand, is a general-purpose marketing tool designed to boost sales and engagement across a broader range of e-commerce businesses. It focuses on creating customizable header notifications to promote products, sales, and content. While it shares the 'Notifications - Other' category, its goal is to increase visibility and drive traffic, rather than address the specific logistical and financial problems associated with COD orders. The app seems geared toward improving customer experience through targeted and attractive promotions.

Our Verdict
COD King is highly specialized for merchants experiencing significant losses due to COD practices, particularly in regions like India and Egypt. If RTO and fake orders are a major pain point, and you operate in these regions, COD King is the clear choice. It offers a robust solution for verifying orders and securing partial payments.
Notification PRO is a more general marketing tool suitable for any Shopify merchant looking to improve sales and engagement. Its ease of use and customizable notifications make it ideal for promoting products, sales, and blog content. While it excels at attracting attention, it lacks the specific functionality to address issues related to COD order management. If your primary goal is general marketing and customer engagement, Notification PRO is a better fit. Notification PRO's low review count should be taken into consideration.
