ClawCrane: Game & Email Popup vs Sample Products ‑‑ Try N Buyfor Shopify (2026)
Both ClawCrane: Game & Email Popup and Sample Products ‑‑ Try N Buy boast a perfect 5/5 rating with 7 reviews each, indicating positive early user experiences. However, they address entirely different marketing objectives. ClawCrane focuses on gamified email list building, aiming to replace traditional popups with an interactive claw crane game. This is positioned as a fun and engaging way to capture email addresses and offer discounts. Sample Products ‑‑ Try N Buy, on the other hand, is a strategic upsell tool designed to increase Average Order Value (AOV) and reduce reliance on discounts by offering free samples based on cart value. The core difference lies in their application. ClawCrane is a general-purpose email capture solution suitable for any store seeking to grow their email list in an entertaining manner. Its configurable in-game items and advanced triggers offer a high degree of customization. Conversely, Sample Products ‑‑ Try N Buy is specifically tailored for businesses in the cosmetics, healthcare & food supplements, pet products, and FMCG sectors. It allows customers to choose their samples, creating a personalized and incentivized shopping experience. Choosing between the two depends on the merchant's primary marketing goal: email acquisition versus AOV maximization and product trial.
