CK: Google Reviews vs ReviewsYard — Product Reviewsfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, both CK: Google Reviews and ReviewsYard — Product Reviews boast a perfect 5/5 rating on the Shopify App Store, indicating positive user experiences. However, ReviewsYard distinguishes itself through a significantly higher number of reviews (197) compared to CK: Google Reviews (36). This larger user base suggests greater market penetration and potentially wider appeal or longer establishment. ReviewsYard explicitly focuses on product reviews and offers features like automated review requests, email scheduling, incentives, and review imports, positioning itself as a comprehensive solution for building social proof through customer testimonials directly on the Shopify store. CK: Google Reviews, on the other hand, is focused on Google Reviews, implying it aims to leverage Google's platform for reviews and potentially improve SEO. ReviewsYard targets merchants seeking a full-fledged system to actively generate and manage product reviews within their Shopify store. The automated review requests and incentive features cater to businesses that prioritize proactive engagement and maximizing review acquisition. The ability to import existing reviews adds value for merchants migrating from other platforms. Conversely, CK: Google Reviews seems geared towards businesses aiming to boost their online visibility and SEO by leveraging Google Reviews. Its smaller number of reviews suggests it might be a newer app, have a more niche target audience, or focus less on direct Shopify store integration for review display and more on Google's ecosystem.
