Chatarmin vs Loyal • Customer Segmentsfor Shopify (2026)
Chatarmin and Loyal • Customer Segments both aim to improve marketing for Shopify merchants, but they approach the problem from very different angles. Chatarmin focuses on leveraging WhatsApp for marketing and customer support, positioning itself as a high-ROI solution with features like automated flows, AI chatbots, and newsletter campaigns delivered via WhatsApp. Its target audience appears to be European e-commerce brands looking for direct and personalized communication channels, especially those already familiar with WhatsApp marketing. Loyal • Customer Segments, on the other hand, concentrates on customer segmentation and retention through email marketing. It helps merchants identify valuable customer segments based on recency, frequency, and monetary value, and integrates with email marketing platforms like Klaviyo to deliver targeted campaigns. Loyal • Customer Segments is ideal for businesses that want to improve their email marketing ROI by personalizing their messages and focusing on retaining existing customers rather than acquiring new ones through novel channels. The difference is a focus on WhatsApp vs. email, and acquisition vs. retention.

Our Verdict
The choice between Chatarmin and Loyal • Customer Segments depends heavily on the merchant's specific marketing strategy and target audience. If a merchant prioritizes leveraging WhatsApp for direct communication and customer support, particularly within the European market, Chatarmin is the more compelling option. The promised 85% open rates and 15x ROI are attractive, though the single review is a caveat.
However, if a merchant focuses on email marketing and wants to improve customer retention through personalized campaigns, Loyal • Customer Segments is the better fit. Its customer segmentation features and integration with tools like Klaviyo allow for targeted messaging that can significantly increase customer loyalty and sales. The larger number of reviews provides greater confidence in the app's effectiveness, despite lacking the AI chatbot component.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
It's difficult to definitively say without user reviews mentioning ease of use. However, Loyal • Customer Segments' focus on segmentation and integration with Klaviyo suggests a potentially simpler setup for merchants already familiar with email marketing platforms. Chatarmin's AI chatbot and automated flows might require more initial configuration.
Which app provides a higher return on investment (ROI)?
Chatarmin explicitly claims a >15x ROI with WhatsApp marketing. Loyal • Customer Segments does not provide a specific ROI figure, but promises increased customer loyalty and sales through targeted email campaigns, implying a return on investment. Ultimately, the actual ROI will depend on how effectively each app is used.
Which app is better for customer support?
Chatarmin offers an AI Chatbot specifically designed for handling customer inquiries directly via WhatsApp. Loyal • Customer Segments doesn't offer direct customer support features, but its segmentation capabilities can indirectly improve support satisfaction by allowing for personalized communication and targeted offers.
Do both apps integrate with existing Shopify stores?
Both apps integrate with Shopify stores. Chatarmin allows sending WhatsApp newsletters and automated flows within Shopify, whereas Loyal • Customer Segments automatically tags customers in Shopify.
If I'm not in Europe, is Chatarmin still relevant?
Chatarmin explicitly states that it's a specialized solution for WhatsApp Marketing E-Commerce in Europe. While WhatsApp is used globally, the app's targeting and optimization might be specifically tailored for the European market, making it potentially less effective elsewhere. Loyal • Customer Segments' customer segmentation approach is geographically agnostic.
