Centous ‑ Testimony Reviews vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
Centous ‑ Testimony Reviews and Zigpoll Customer Surveys both aim to enhance the customer experience on Shopify, but they approach it from vastly different angles. Centous focuses specifically on collecting and displaying customer testimonials to build trust and social proof, targeting merchants who want to showcase positive feedback prominently on their store. Zigpoll, on the other hand, offers a comprehensive survey platform for gathering customer insights through various touchpoints like post-purchase, pre-purchase, and even abandoned checkout campaigns. The critical distinction lies in the data collected and its application. Centous's primary goal is outward-facing—convincing potential customers through positive reviews. Zigpoll emphasizes internal improvements, leveraging customer feedback to optimize marketing, product development, and conversion rates using AI analytics. While both fall under the 'Surveys' category, Zigpoll is much broader and technologically advanced, offering sophisticated analytics and integration capabilities that Centous lacks.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with quickly adding social proof and showcasing existing positive testimonials, Centous ‑ Testimony Reviews offers a straightforward solution. Its focus on attractive layouts and easy import/export makes it suitable for stores with existing customer feedback ready to be displayed. However, the limited number of reviews raises concerns about the app's development and support.
Zigpoll Customer Surveys is the superior choice for businesses seeking a data-driven approach to understanding and improving their customer experience. Its comprehensive survey capabilities, advanced analytics, and integrations make it ideal for larger stores or those focused on continuous optimization. While it may require a steeper learning curve, the wealth of insights gained from Zigpoll's platform outweigh the simplicity of Centous for merchants prioritizing strategic growth based on customer feedback.
