C‑EDD: Estimated Delivery Date vs Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZipfor Shopify (2026)
C‑EDD: Estimated Delivery Date and Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip both target Shopify merchants looking to improve their delivery experience, but they address different aspects. C‑EDD focuses primarily on providing customers with estimated delivery dates. Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip, on the other hand, offers a comprehensive suite of advanced shipping rules and rate customization options. ShipZip positions itself as a powerful tool for merchants with complex shipping needs, offering features like product-specific shipping rates, zip code-based rates, local delivery management, and even delivery date-based rules. This suggests ShipZip is aimed at merchants who need granular control over their shipping costs and options. While C‑EDD appears to be a simpler solution focused solely on delivery date estimations, likely easier to set up and manage.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a straightforward solution to display estimated delivery dates to their customers, C‑EDD is likely the simpler and potentially more cost-effective option. Its focus on a single, essential feature suggests an easier implementation process. However, if a merchant requires advanced shipping rule customization, including product-specific rates, zip code-based shipping, local delivery management with date selection, and surcharge capabilities, Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip is the clear choice. Its comprehensive feature set, while potentially more complex to configure, provides significantly more control over the shipping process. Businesses involved in local delivery, particularly those with date-sensitive products like bakeries or flower shops, will likely find ShipZip's order delivery date feature invaluable, even if it means implementing Carrier Calculated Shipping API.
