CedCommerce OnBuy Integration vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
CedCommerce OnBuy Integration and Selling Point are both Shopify apps designed to enhance the selling experience for merchants, but cater to vastly different needs. CedCommerce OnBuy Integration focuses on facilitating integration with the OnBuy marketplace, providing tools for product listing, data synchronization, and order management. This app aims to streamline the process of selling on OnBuy by automating key tasks and offering features like bulk product upload, inventory management, and flexible template options. It targets merchants already selling or looking to expand onto the OnBuy marketplace. Selling Point, on the other hand, addresses the challenge of migrating gift cards and store credits from other platforms to Shopify. Selling Point aims to simplify the process of transferring gift card and store credit balances to Shopify, eliminating manual data entry or custom development. It allows merchants to import existing gift cards and store credits in bulk, transforming physical gift cards into virtual ones, and even generating gift cards for marketing promotions. The app targets merchants who are switching to Shopify from another platform or POS system, or those seeking a better way to manage gift cards and store credits for customer loyalty or marketing initiatives. While both apps fall under the general category of 'Selling online,' their specific functionalities and target audiences make them distinct choices.

Our Verdict
The choice between CedCommerce OnBuy Integration and Selling Point hinges entirely on the merchant's needs. If the goal is to integrate with the OnBuy marketplace, CedCommerce OnBuy Integration is the clear choice. It offers comprehensive features for product listing, order management, and data synchronization, making it ideal for businesses seeking to expand their presence on OnBuy.
Conversely, if the merchant is transitioning to Shopify from another platform and needs to migrate gift cards or store credits, or simply wants a better way to manage those assets, Selling Point is the recommended option. Its focus on ease of use and bulk migration makes it a valuable tool for streamlining the transition process and managing customer loyalty programs effectively. Selling Point doesn't offer anything to merchants looking to sell on online marketplaces, so CedCommerce is clearly superior if that is their aim.
