Our Verdict
If a merchant's primary goal is to aggressively grow their email and SMS subscriber list while adhering to strict privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and they use Klaviyo, Dataships Checkout Opt‑in is the superior choice. Its dedicated focus on checkout optimization for opt-ins, combined with its dynamic consent management, compliance tools, and dedicated support, makes it ideal for businesses prioritizing data privacy and subscriber acquisition at the point of sale. Its significantly higher number of reviews with a perfect rating further support its effectiveness.
Conversely, without information on Carts Guru's specific offerings, it's difficult to recommend it. If a merchant is seeking a more comprehensive suite of marketing automation tools that *may* include SMS marketing, and whose primary concern isn't necessarily focused on subscriber growth through opt-in compliance, further investigation into Carts Guru's feature set would be needed. However, based on the limited information provided, Dataships appears to be the stronger choice for merchants specifically targeting checkout opt-in optimization and regulatory compliance.
