C Builder | Checkout Upsells! vs Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawerfor Shopify (2026)
C Builder | Checkout Upsells! and Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer both aim to increase Average Order Value (AOV) and conversions through upselling and cross-selling on Shopify stores. However, they cater to different segments. C Builder targets Shopify Plus merchants, offering deep customization within the checkout flow using Shopify Checkout Extensibility. This provides a secure and upgrade-safe experience but limits its accessibility. Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer, on the other hand, focuses on cart customization for a broader audience, boasting a wider array of features like free gifts, reward bars, urgency timers, and abandoned cart recovery. The key difference lies in their approach and target market. C Builder focuses on deeply integrated checkout customizations specifically for Shopify Plus merchants leveraging Checkout Extensibility. Opus Cart Upsell targets all Shopify merchants with a suite of cart-focused features, providing a more versatile, yet potentially less deeply integrated, solution for upselling. The number of reviews also highlights the difference in adoption, with Opus Cart Upsell being significantly more widely used at the time of data collection.

Our Verdict
C Builder | Checkout Upsells! is the clear choice for Shopify Plus merchants seeking deep control over their checkout experience. Its use of Shopify Checkout Extensibility ensures a secure, high-performing, and future-proof solution. However, the Plus requirement limits its accessibility.
Opus Cart Upsell Cart Drawer is better suited for standard Shopify merchants seeking a versatile and easy-to-use solution for upselling and cart optimization. Its broader feature set and accessibility make it a strong choice for merchants looking to quickly improve their AOV without the complexities and costs associated with Shopify Plus. In essence, choose C Builder if you're on Plus and need checkout control; choose Opus if you're on a standard plan and want a range of cart-focused features.
